Student Support Services

CMA’s Student Support Services (SSS) department supports a variety of special needs services. Services are provided based on a cadet’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).  Services we offer include but are not limited to:

• IEP Evaluations by licensed SSS staff, therapy providers, and School Psychologist
• Paraprofessional support for classroom assistance
• Accomodation and curriculum modification support
• Case management by licensed SSS staff
• Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy
• Mental Health
• Capstone Program

English Language Learner (ELL)

English Language Learner support is available for those students who have been identified as having a primary language other than English. This information is based on Home Language Surveys parents complete upon registration along with a screener conducted at that time. A yearly ACCESS exam is given to test English proficiency until the student is able to exit the program.

Gifted and Talented (GT)

CMA provides individualized support for Gifted and Talented Cadets.

Giftedness can be demonstrated in a variety of areas:

• Verbal
• Math
• Science
• Artistic
• Musical
• Athletic
• and more…

The school collects evidence of giftedness at the 95th percentile and above using multiple tests and work examples.
