Food & Nutrition at CMA
At Colorado Military Academy, we are committed to nurturing both the minds and bodies of our students. Our Food and Nutrition program is designed to provide balanced, healthy meals that fuel our students for success throughout the day.

As part of our innovative approach to nutrition, CMA proudly features a farm-to-table lunch program. Ingredients are sourced from our own school garden and local producers whenever possible, ensuring fresh, wholesome meals for our students.
Our meal program emphasizes:
- Nutritional balance: Meals are prepared to meet state and federal guidelines, including offering whole grains, lean proteins, and plenty of fruits and vegetables.
- Dietary accommodations: We provide options for students with allergies or dietary restrictions. Please contact our Food Services team for assistance with specific needs.
- Kid-friendly favorites: Our menu combines nutritious choices with meals kids love, encouraging healthy eating habits.
Thanks to the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), CMA provides free lunch to all students, ensuring every child has access to a nutritious meal during the school day.
For more information on the Free and Reduced Lunch program and to complete your FRL application visit our Free and Reduced Lunch page here.
Families can access our monthly lunch menus to stay informed about meal options.
Our Food and Nutrition program is more than just a meal service—it’s an opportunity for students to learn about the value of nutrition, sustainable practices, and healthy living. Students can engage with our school garden and see firsthand how food is grown and prepared.
Coming Next Year: CMA will launch a pilot program for student internships in the kitchen, giving students hands-on experience in food service, meal preparation, and nutrition education. This internship program will allow students to develop practical skills, explore career opportunities in culinary and hospitality fields, and gain valuable work experience.
We take great pride in the dedication and expertise of our kitchen team. Watch as our Kitchen Manager showcases his passion for preparing nutritious, delicious meals for our students.
