Technology at Colorado Military Academy
At Colorado Military Academy (CMA), we are committed to providing a cutting-edge technology environment that prepares students for success in a rapidly evolving world. Our approach integrates modern tools, hands-on experiences, and responsible digital citizenship to ensure students develop the skills needed for leadership in aerospace, STEAM fields, and beyond.
CMA is leading the charge in implementing AI in schools through safe, responsible, and intentional integration of AI tools in the classroom. Every student has access to cutting-edge AI tutoring tools, ensuring personalized support and enhanced learning outcomes.
Our approach ensures that AI enhances learning, supports educators, and prepares students for future careers in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. We are committed to using AI ethically to provide personalized learning experiences, improve problem-solving skills, and develop critical thinking.
CMA incorporates technology across all grade levels to enhance learning, collaboration, and critical thinking:
Student Device Access – While not strictly a 1:1 program, every student has access to a Chromebook or other age-appropriate device for learning.
STEAM Integration – Technology is embedded in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) projects, allowing students to engage in hands-on problem-solving.
Interactive Learning – Classrooms are equipped with digital tools, including interactive displays and online learning platforms, to support engaging instruction.
Cyber Literacy & Digital Citizenship – Students learn about online safety, responsible technology use, and the ethical implications of digital tools.
CMA offers a dedicated STEAM lab where students participate in project-based learning, coding, and robotics activities. Our technology programs include:
Coding & Programming – Students develop fundamental coding skills through block-based programming, Python, and other coding languages.
Robotics & Engineering – Hands-on projects encourage students to build and program robots, preparing them for future careers in aerospace and engineering.
3D Printing – Students learn the basics of 3D modeling, bringing their creative ideas to life.
As part of our focus on leadership and aerospace, CMA integrates advanced technology to enhance aviation and engineering education:
Flight Simulators – Secondary students have access to flight simulation technology as part of our Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and aerospace programs.
Drone & UAV Training – Students gain hands-on experience in drone operation, developing skills for future careers in aviation.
CMA is dedicated to providing a safe and secure technology environment. Our school implements:
Content Filtering & Cybersecurity Measures – We use robust filtering systems to ensure students access appropriate online content.
VPEG (Vaping Prevention Education Grant) Initiatives – Technology is leveraged to support health education, including vaping prevention and digital wellness.
Parent & Student Cyber Safety Resources – We provide families with guidance on responsible internet use and digital well-being.
CMA continuously invests in state-of-the-art infrastructure to support a seamless digital experience:
High-Speed Internet & Secure Networks – Reliable connectivity ensures students and staff have uninterrupted access to online resources.
Learning Management Systems (LMS) – Our platforms streamline assignments, communication, and collaboration between students and teachers.
IT Support & Training – Our dedicated IT team provides support for students and staff, ensuring technology is used effectively.
CMA requires students and families to review and sign a Technology Agreement outlining responsibilities and expectations for device use. Additionally, replacement pricing is available for damaged or lost devices.
At Colorado Military Academy, technology is more than just a tool—it’s a gateway to innovation, problem-solving, and leadership. By equipping students with the skills needed for the future, we prepare them to excel in college, careers, and military service.
