• The posted speed limit in the parking lot is 10 MPH. Please drive slowly and stay alert at all times.

• Follow all posted signs and directions from CMA staff during arrival and dismissal.

• Avoid cell phone use while driving on school grounds.

• Be courteous and patient — safety comes first.

• The traffic pattern splits into two lanes in front of the main entrance and remains two lanes around the back of the building.

  • Please utilize both lanes during drop-off and pickup. This helps reduce the number of cars waiting on Space Village Avenue and speeds up traffic flow for everyone.

Time: 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM

K–12 Drop-Off:

• All K–12 students must be dropped off at the cafeteria doors located on the back side of the building.

• Follow the traffic loop, which splits into two lanes and remains two lanes around the back.

• Students should be ready to exit the vehicle promptly on the driver's side, if possible, for safety.

• CMA staff will be present in the loop to assist with traffic and student flow.

• If your child needs extra time or assistance, please park in a designated space and walk them in through the front entrance.

Pre-K Drop-Off:

• Pre-K families must park in the front lot near the main office.

• Parents or guardians are required to walk Pre-K students into the building through the front doors and sign them in each morning with their classroom teacher.

• All Pre-K parents are issued a Pre-K Parent Badge, which must be worn when entering the building for access.

• If a badge is forgotten, parents must check in at the front office with a valid ID.

Time: Begins at 3:30 PM
Entrance: Main entrance off Space Village Avenue

K–12 Pickup:

• Use the same traffic loop as morning drop-off. The loop remains two lanes around the building.

• Please utilize both lanes to keep traffic flowing and reduce congestion on Space Village Avenue.

• Remain in your vehicle during pickup to maintain smooth traffic flow.

• If your student is not yet outside when you arrive, you may be asked to circle back around.

• Do not line up in front of the building more than 30 minutes before pickup (no earlier than 3:00 PM).

• Do not block access to the building — this includes the driveway, fire lane, or parking lot entrances needed for emergency vehicles, deliveries, or Pre-K parents who need to park.

Pre-K Pickup:

• Pre-K parents must park in the front lot near the main office.

• Parents or guardians are required to walk into the building through the front doors to pick up their student.

• Pre-K students must be signed out in person each day.

• All Pre-K parents must wear their Pre-K Parent Badge when entering the building for pickup.

• If a badge is forgotten, parents must check in at the front office with a valid ID.

After picking up or dropping off students, families have two exit options:

• Main Exit: Return to Space Village Avenue via the main entrance.

• West Exit (Peterson North Gate):

  • To use the west exit, move into the outside (right-hand) lane as you approach the back of the building.

  • At the southwest corner of the building, turn right through the parking lot that leads to the Peterson North Gate exit.

  • This exit helps reduce congestion on Space Village Avenue and may be more convenient for families with base access or those heading westbound.

Please choose the exit that works best for your route and helps keep traffic moving efficiently.

Some families choose to drop off and pick up their students at the Peterson Space Force Base Turnstile gate, located on the back side of the CMA campus.

• Students using the Peterson Turnstile must have base access or be accompanied by someone who does.

• A Peterson gate guard is present during drop-off and pickup times to check IDs and allow access to the base.

Turnstile Hours:

• Monday – Thursday:

  • Morning: 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM

  • Afternoon: 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM

• Friday:

  • Morning: 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM

  • Afternoon: 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM

• Note: The turnstile may not be open on some base holidays or family days. CMA will communicate any closures as soon as we receive word from the base so families can plan accordingly.

Students using this option should be aware of their plan each day and communicate any changes with their teacher and the front office.

• Students who walk or bike to school may enter and exit campus through either the main entrance, west exit gate or Peterson Turnstyle.

• Bike riders must wear a helmet and lock their bikes in the designated bike rack area.

• CMA staff are present on campus to help ensure walkers exit safely.

• Please remind your student to use crosswalks and follow all pedestrian safety rules when traveling to and from school.

• Parent and visitor parking is available in the front lot near the main office.

• Do not park in staff-only or reserved spaces.

• Always remain vigilant and use designated crosswalks and sidewalks when walking students to and from the building.

• Students arriving after 8:00 am must be signed in at the front office.

• For early pickups, please notify the front office in advance. A valid ID is required when signing out a student.

• Drop-off and pickup procedures may change during inclement weather or emergency situations.

• CMA will communicate changes via email, text alerts, and Facebook as soon as possible and in accordance with Emergency Protocols.
