Athletics and Clubs at CMA
At Colorado Military Academy, we are committed to developing well-rounded cadets who embody leadership, teamwork, and perseverance. Athletics and clubs give our cadets the opportunity to grow their skills both on and off the field while representing CMA with pride.

We are proud to partner with Mitchell High School to give CMA middle and high school cadets the opportunity to participate in competitive athletics. This partnership ensures our cadets have access to high-quality coaching, competition, and athletic programming.

Fall: Football, Volleyball
Winter: Wrestling, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball
Spring: Track & Field, Baseball

Registration Documents
To participate in athletics, cadets must complete the required forms:
High School Athletes – Must complete the CHSAA Sports Physical Form signed by a physician, complete the online registration on the Mitchell High School Athletics Website, and review the CHSAA Parent Bylaws.
Middle School Athletes – Must complete the CMA Code of Conduct and Waiver form.
Cheerleading is offered as an in-house CMA program. Cadets in cheerleading proudly represent our school at events and activities, building school spirit and leadership skills.

In partnership with the YMCA, CMA hosts seasonal athletic clinics throughout the year. These run for approximately six weeks and may include sports such as:
Volleyball
Flag Football
Basketball
Soccer
Track & Field
And more!
Clinics are dependent on registration numbers. Costs vary by program.

CMA proudly participates in the long-standing Landsharks Running Club, a non-competitive youth program designed to introduce running in a safe and fun environment.

CMA offers a diverse range of student clubs to foster creativity, critical thinking, and community engagement. These clubs provide opportunities for students to explore their interests, build friendships, and develop leadership skills.
Here are just a few of the clubs we offer:
Science Club: Dive into hands-on experiments and projects to explore the wonders of science and technology.
Drama Club: Express your creativity through acting, stagecraft, and performances.
LEGO Club: Build, design, and problem-solve using LEGO challenges that inspire creativity and teamwork.
Army PT: Develop discipline, endurance, and camaraderie through structured physical training modeled after Army fitness.
Robotics Club: Explore engineering and programming while working on robotics projects and competitions.
eSports Club: Collaborate with teammates in competitive gaming while learning about teamwork and sportsmanship.
Gardening Club: Learn about sustainability and healthy living by tending to our school garden and engaging in farm-to-table activities.
We are continually adding new clubs based on student interests. CMA encourages all students to get involved and discover their passions outside of the classroom!
