Athletics and Clubs at CMA
At Colorado Military Academy, we are committed to fostering well-rounded students through dynamic athletic and extracurricular opportunities. Our programs encourage teamwork, discipline, leadership, and a healthy, active lifestyle, all integral to the development of future leaders.

This winter, CMA is proud to offer skill-focused athletic clinics designed to help students develop their abilities, stay fit, and build strong relationships with their peers. These clinics are a stepping stone to expanding our athletics program.
CMA Winter Clinics Schedule:

Clinic Details:
- Duration: Six weeks (unless extended by the coach). Most clinics will conclude around Spring Break.
- Time: 3:45 PM – 4:45 PM (unless otherwise noted by the coach).
- Cost: $20 per participant.
- Payment:
- Visit the CMA website.
- Go to the Web Store.
- Click on Athletics.
- Select your respective clinic and follow the prompts to pay online.
Important Notes:
- Clinics are tailored to specific age groups and genders to maximize skill development:
- Volleyball: Open to female students in grades 6-12.
- Cheer: Open to female students in grades 6-12.
- Flag Football Conditioning: Open to male students in grades 7-12.
- Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

We offer a non-competitive youth program to introduce running to young athletes in a safe and fun environment. The focus is on self-improvement, being an encouraging teammate, and making new friends. The Spring Track Series is a fun running program and is open to students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Please remember to purchase a team race shirt if this is your first season running.
Registration opens February 1st, 2025 at 9am and closes April 18th, 2025 at 5pm.
Runner must register prior to their first practice.
($75 registration fee until April 1, 2025 at 9am when a 15$ late fee applies per runner)

CMA offers a diverse range of student clubs to foster creativity, critical thinking, and community engagement. These clubs provide opportunities for students to explore their interests, build friendships, and develop leadership skills.
Here are just a few of the clubs we offer:
- Science Club: Dive into hands-on experiments and projects to explore the wonders of science and technology.
- Drama Club: Express your creativity through acting, stagecraft, and performances.
- Chess Club: Hone your strategic thinking and compete with fellow students in the timeless game of chess.
- eSports Club: Collaborate with teammates in competitive gaming while learning about teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Gardening Club: Learn about sustainability and healthy living by tending to our school garden and engaging in farm-to-table activities.
We are continually adding new clubs based on student interests. CMA encourages all students to get involved and discover their passions outside of the classroom!

Athletics is a growing priority at CMA. We recognize the vital role sports play in shaping leadership, character, and a strong sense of community. Over the coming years, CMA will expand and enhance our athletics program to better serve our students and their families.
Our Vision for CMA Athletics:
- New Sports Teams: Plans to introduce additional competitive teams to accommodate student interests and talents.
- Facilities Upgrades: While working toward the long-term goal of having our own state-of-the-art athletic facilities, CMA will partner with local athletic fields and gyms to provide our students with the best possible training and competition spaces.
- Coaching Excellence: Recruitment of experienced coaches to mentor and inspire our student-athletes.
- Expanded Opportunities: Continue to create partnerships with local organizations to offer intramural leagues, recreational sports programs, and community-based athletic events for all skill levels.
