Free & Reduced Lunch (FRL)
Free & Reduced Lunch Program
At Colorado Military Academy, we are committed to ensuring that all students have access to nutritious meals that support their learning and well-being. Through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), eligible families can receive free or reduced-price meals for their students.
Eligibility for free or reduced-price meals is determined based on household income and size, in accordance with federal guidelines. Families are encouraged to apply if they believe they may qualify.
While meals are free, we still ask all parents to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) application annually. Completing this application is crucial because:
Families may qualify for additional state resource programs, such as P-EBT (Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer).
CMA becomes eligible for additional funding resources and grant opportunities that support our school community, helping to enhance educational programs, upgrade technology, and expand extracurricular activities.
To help secure additional funding for CMA, FRL applications should be submitted by October 1st each school year. However, applications are accepted year-round to accommodate changing financial situations.
